AS/NZS 1170.4 Earthquake Action is currently in Pre Postal Ballot Committee form and is scheduled to be published in mid 2003.

Because of the confusion of separate parts being published at different times, Amendment 12 of the Building Code of Australia (BCA) allows the use of the 1989 edition of AS 1170 until such a time when all revised parts are fully published – they will then be incorporated into a future BCA amendment, most likely Amendment 14 – 1 January 2004.
