WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP?

Technical Resources
CMAA members use the international industry network, staff technical and marketing expertise, plus programs and publications to support and expand the market for concrete masonry products.
Many of the Technical Resources are to be seen on this Web Site, including publications, software, conferences and research projects.

Promotional Resources
The CMAA conducts a range of promotional activities on behalf of its members, including seminars and workshops. It also participates in targetted national and international conferences.
Enquiries and leads generated through these activities are sent to voting members. In addition members have access to promotional and public relations materials including articles, visual aids and press releases.

Online Publication Access
CMAA members have online access to publications and other resources through a password-protected Members'-Only Area. Here many publications are free online, while most other material is discounted, generally 50%.
The CMAA also informs members of new publications through mailings.

Standards Australia Representation
Increased resources and a strategic management plan were introduced in 1993 for CMAA’s interests in the drafting and production of national SA Standards. As a direct result of the strategy the CMAA has now been placed into an informed, planned, active role rather than a reactive role that was evident during the early 1990s.
Involvement of the CMAA in codes and committee work must, in the first instance, be regarded as the first line of defence of the market place. At the very least it provides an active voice and minimises the chances of over restrictive design rules or product specifications being imposed by other parties. Any additional gains above this philosophy should be considered a bonus to the industry.
Sufficient funds are allocated from the national CMAA budget to support our industry’s involvement in Standards Australia codes and committees. This work and cost should be shared by all in the industry by being a member of the CMAA.

Networking
Only by being a member of the CMAA and becoming involved can you really enjoy the long-term benefits that your association offers you and your company
.
